FTA Recognizes Public Transportation Providers for Excellence

Peter Rogoff, FTA's Administrator, presented the Outstanding Achievement Award for Excellence in Environmental Document Preparation to two transit agencies and their partners for creating environmental documents that are clear, concise, accessible to the public, and consistent with environmental laws and regulations at the 2009 APTA Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida. FTA has awarded 685 grants totaling $7.19 billion. An additional 27 grants valued at $386.8 M are undergoing review and pending award for a potential total of 712 grant awards valued at $7.6 B dollars.
